Description
This soil Redox profile probe is specially designed for both handheld and standalone (with datalogger) soil Redox and temperature measurements.
This soil Redox probe is specially designed for both handheld and standalone (with datalogger) soil Redox measurements.
It has 4 Pt Redox electrodes at 10, 20, 30 and 40 cm from the probe top side. It has no integrated reference electrode. To perform Redox measurements, it must be used in combination with an external reference electrode. SWAP instruments offers an external reference electrode. This is the REF-12-0-A. This 3 M KCl gel Ag|AgCl double junction reference electrode is especially designed to perform high precision soil Redox measurements.
For handheld measurements, the ORP-40-4-B and an external reference electrode (e.g., REF-12-0-A from SWAP instruments) can be connected to the Lutron YK-23RP mV meter using banana jacks and the BNC to 2 x banana jack adaptor.
For standalone measurements, the ORP-40-4-B and an external reference electrode (e.g., REF-12-0-A from SWAP instruments) can be connected to a datalogger with an input impedance ≥ 10 Giga Ohm. See our soil Redox probe manual for suggestions for datalogger connections.
